iU、全学的なAI導入方針「iUはAI大学になる!」を決定2027年度入学者選抜に「生成AI活用型」選抜方式を新設
現代社会において生成AIをはじめとする先端技術の活用は、ビジネス・教育・研究の現場で不可欠なスキルとなりつつあります。iUはAIを単なるツールではなく「共創のパートナー」と捉え、生成AIを活用しながらも、教育理念である「変化を楽しみ、自ら学び、革新を創造する。」力を備えた人材の育成を重視しています。今回の新方針導入は、その理念に基づくものです。
なお、iUは2021年度、PC・スマホ・ネット利用可の「デジタル入試」を他大学に先駆けて導入しました。今回の「AI入試」はそれに続く先駆けの実施となります。
AI方針の概要
iUは、以下の具体的なアクションを2025年度内に実装し、教育、研究、事務の全領域でAI利用を推進します。
- 教育分野におけるAI活用
- - 全授業・全教員・全学生が生成AIを利用
- - AI利用力を問う入試を導入
- 研究分野におけるAI活用
- - 全プロジェクトでAIを利用
- - 医療、運輸、エンタメ、ロボット、教育など、多岐にわたる分野でAIプロジェクトを推進
- 事務分野におけるAI活用
- AI学長を開発し、業務を遂行
- DXとAIの同時進行により、業務変革と業務時間30%減を目指す
「生成AI活用型」選抜方式の概要
iUは、知識量の多寡を競う従来型の評価から一歩進み、AIとの協働を通じて課題を創造的に解決する力や論理的な技術活用力を評価するため、以下の内容を主な評価項目とする「生成AI活用型」選抜方式を導入します。
- 生成AIを活用した成果物の提出
- プロンプトエンジニアリングの質や工夫
- 成果物に対する改善・修正能力
- 調査書等の書類審査
- iUの教育理念・育成方針への理解を確認する面接

New "Generative AI-Based" Selection Method for 2027 Admissionsintroduced for the 2027 admissions selection process.
iU (Professional University of Information and Management for Innovation, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, President: Ichiya Nakamura Ph.D., http://www.iu.ac.jp ) , In order to establish itself as a leading university in the AI society has introduced a university-wide AI policy that bases AI on all aspects of education, research, and administration, and has set the goal of “iU becoming an AI university!” Based on this goal, the university has decided to introduce a new “generative AI-based” selection method in its comprehensive selection process, starting with the 2027 admissions selection process (implemented in 2026).
In modern society, the use of cutting-edge technologies, including generative AI, is becoming an essential skill in business, education, and research. iU sees AI not just as a tool, but as a “partner in co-creation.” While utilizing generative AI, we place importance on cultivating human resources who possess the ability to “enjoy change, learn independently, and create innovation.” which is our educational philosophy. The introduction of this new policy is based on this philosophy.
In addition, iU introduced a “digital entrance exam” that can be used on PC, smartphone, and the Internet in 2021, ahead of other universities.
AI Policy Overview
iU will implement the following specific actions by fiscal year 2025 to promote the use of AI in all areas of education, research, and administration.
- Use of AI in the education field
- - All classes, all teachers, and all students use the generated AI
- - Introducing an entrance exam that tests AI usage skills
- Use of AI in administrative fields
- - Use AI in all your projects
- - Promoting AI projects in a wide range of fields, including medicine, transportation, entertainment, robotics, and education
- Use of AI in administrative fields
- - Developing an AI president to carry out tasks
- - Aiming to transform business operations and reduce work hours by 30% through simultaneous progress of DX and AI
Overview of the "generative AI-based" selection method
iU will go a step beyond the traditional evaluation method of competing on the amount of knowledge, and will introduce a “generative AI utilization” selection method that will evaluate the ability to creatively solve problems through collaboration with AI and the ability to logically utilize technology, with the following as the main evaluation criteria.
- Submitting deliverables using generative AI
- Prompt engineering quality and ingenuity
- Ability to improve and correct deliverables
- Document review of school reports, etc.
- An interview to confirm understanding of iU's educational philosophy and training policy
